Dear friends and family

A letter

We are getting married in Italy, and we would like you there — not for an afternoon, but for three days.

From 6 to 9 July we have a villa in Sicily to ourselves. A bed in it is yours: no booking, no bill for the room, nobody moving you on at noon. Come with swimwear and an appetite.

There is a pool, lemon trees, and a view we will not try to describe here. All we need from you is the form at the bottom of this ticket.

With love,

Leonardas & Valerija

The villa

Where you are sleeping

Villa Ginevra

AddressPartinico (PA)Sicilia, Italia

Villa Ginevra sits in the hills above Partinico, half an hour west of Palermo. Six bedrooms, a long terrace, and a pool that nobody will be sharing with strangers.

For three days it is ours, which means it is yours. No lobby, no strangers at breakfast, nobody asking you to vacate by noon.

Your room is included

  • There are 6 bedrooms and 10 beds, sleeping up to 16 people. We allocate them ourselves once the RSVPs are in — couples and families first.
  • Bedding and towels are provided, including pool towels. There is a washing machine you are welcome to use.
  • Check-in from 15:00 on 6 July, check-out by 11:00 on 9 July. If your flight lands awkwardly, tell us in the RSVP and we will work around it.
  • Nothing to book and nothing to pay for the room — all three nights are ours to give. Food and drink are on us on the wedding day and the day after. Flights, the evening you arrive and the morning you leave are your own.
  • The villa and its pool from above, with the coast beyond the trees
  • The house at dusk, seen from the tiled garden steps
  • The pool, the loungers and the curtained cabana
  • The indoor spa, with the jacuzzi and two loungers
  • The terrace and the lit pool after dark, from above

What to pack

You will remember your passport. These are the ones people forget.

  • Swimwear — the pool is the point of the middle day
  • Something warm for the evenings
  • Flat shoes for the grounds and the gravel
  • Sun cream. There is very little shade at 15:30

Getting there

  • Fly to Palermo (PMO, 30 min by road), or Trapani (TPS, 1 h 10) if the fare is better. Catania (CTA) works too, but it is a 3 h 15 drive across the island.
  • Driving is easy and there is free parking at the house. The last kilometre is unpaved but flat.

Sending

Gifts

Presence over presents

You are flying to another country and giving us three days of your life. That is the gift, and it is a large one.

If you insist on more, we are putting anything that arrives towards the honeymoon.

Over to you

Send us a song, send us a photo

A song that has to be played

The dance floor is only as good as the requests. Add yours in the RSVP — there is a field for it — and it will turn up on the playlist.

The shared album

One Google Photos album for all three days. Everything anyone photographs lands there, and the link is yours to add to as well as to look at.

Questions people have asked

  • Can I come only for the wedding day?

Of course. Pick just the nights you want in the RSVP. Three nights is the shape we planned, but one night is not a lesser version of coming.

  • Can I arrive a day early or stay longer?

The villa is ours from 6 to 9 July only, so we cannot host you outside those dates. Palermo and Castellammare del Golfo are both easy bases if you want to extend the trip.

  • How are rooms shared, and can I request a roommate?

Couples and families get their own room. Everyone else shares a room with someone they know.

  • What if it rains?

Early July here is reliably dry and about 30 °C. If the sky disagrees, the ceremony moves under the loggia and dinner moves inside. Nothing gets cancelled and nobody gets wet.

  • What language will the day be in?

The ceremony is in Russian. Guests speak Russian and Lithuanian between them, and it sorts itself out by the second glass.

  • What is covered, and what do I pay for?

Your room and all three nights are on us, and so is everything we serve on the wedding day and the day after. Your flights are your own, as are dinner the evening you arrive and breakfast on the morning you leave.
